Easter, Christmas, Valentine's Day and other holidays remind us of giving gifts. Many people across the globe do the same. But think about it...What is a gift? Well, it's a gift! Something we receive. It's not quite the same when we buy ourselves a gift. And, when we get a gift we don't pay for it! It's a gift - from someone else. How can it be a gift if we pay the giver for it?

The word gift reminds me of God. Why? A gift from God is beyond explanation! What gift can he give me? Well, faith is a gift, it's God's love gift. Everlasting life is also his gift. Can I look up gifts from God on Wikipedia? Or Google that? Where will I learn that God actually likes to give me these things?

God's gifts are true! Believe in that! The Holy Bible tells us of God's promises, like: John 3:16: For God soloved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in HIm should not perish but have everlasting life."

Do we pay for his gifts? How much?
Nothing. Zero. Zilch. We can't pay. Instead we believe in all the promises of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ paid on our behalf when he came to earth as True Man and still True God and suffered beyond our understanding. He died and He rose from death.

A gift is just that, a gift. The gift from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is more than a simple gift, it is complete grace. I can't pay for it. You can't pay for it. St. Paul tells us in Galatians 2:21, "I don not set aside the grace of God." God's grace is for all of us, you, too!

Cling to God's gifts! Through faith embrace God's grace today.
